Ok guys, i would like to inform you that i m blogging with betfair.
http://stoixhma.betfair.gr/blogs/arbitrager/
It is in Greek unfortunately. The topic of this blog is (what else?) arbitrage. I will not get to any details there. The target of this blog is to inform Greek players about arbitrage in general, and not to provide any kind of tips or help.
Those of you who understand Greek...enjoy.

Good luck. You have my permission* to write anything you like. Its common knowledge in Greece than anyone who covers his bets is just a coward.

And if you somehow manage to write some negative things about premium charges you will be my hero. Seriously.

*Its an expression. When something appears unneccessary, obvious or hyperbolic, many times its not meant seriously. This is one of those times.

@ww88,
Nick i think the word is correct. I made other mistakes that you didn't spot.

I dont want to defend any1, but a genuine arber has nothing to fear from previous charges, unless you have a completely new (and unlucky) account. But even if that odd situation appears, it is so easy to turn things the other way!

I think i am a genuine arber but I was hit by premium charges about a year ago, which resulted in negative balance and a closed account. I was extremely unlucky of course but the account was not new at all. If you make a couple of bets that are much bigger than your normal betsize and do not use betfair that often, it can happen. I caught a bot once and i did a really huge manual arb between pinny and bf so thats why it happened.

For me, actual arbs between pinny and betfair are very seldom although there would exist some arbs (if there were no commissions on betfair). I have just found 8-10 arbs between pinny and betfair this year.
I have never beeen affected with premium charges until now although my volume at betfair is not low (approx. 1000 Euro per day).

It seems premium charges can be a very unfair fee just for being succesful. Doesn't look balanced.

 Shocked I think that premium charges are very unfair, as well as difficult to calculate for arbitrage purposes. If I remember well, there was a rule that stated that, in order to be charged that premium charge, you had to have placed at least 250 bets in different markets in the last 60 weeks. So, if it works that way, I would use them not so frequently in order to avoid the fee.

to get charged you should be aa little unlucky/lucky because all the bets you place in betfair should win and transfer all the money from bookies to betfair...it doesnt happen so often the week i was charged i increased my bf amount from 5k to 38k sth like that i think...sth really strange and unusual
