Welcome to the free open beta of RebelBetting! A brand new arbitrage tool with a couple of unique features we think you might like.

I hope you have the time to download and take it for a spin. Read the homepage for information about what you can expect, and the limitations in the beta (most notably 20 bookies as of now). The idea with the open beta is to get early feedback from the professionals, to do extensive testing and to show off our unique features and hopefully make our future users see the potential of the product. The open beta runs for a limited time only so check it out now!

In the coming months, we will add several more bookies and we have some pretty exciting features lined up. We hope you have the time to do some testing, and we appreciate all feedback that will help us build an awesome product!

hi simon, site looks interesting, some feedback though: i'm not too fond of downloading software from an unknown source. on top that, an important feature of your service compared to other services you mention on your site is the possibility to go straight through a books site to the right match without entering passwords. to me this would imply i would have to insert my passwords into the software.

pc security for normal people is important, for arbers it is vital. someone who has access to my passwords can destroy my accounts overnight, so i hardly ever download anything on the computers i use for my arbing, and never anything i do not 100% trust.

this security issue is not reallty being adressed on your website (perhaps i've missed it), and even if it would be, i would very much doubt or i'd be willing to work with it, even though it sounds handy.

Thanks for your feedback. Your concern about passwords is justified, and we have several security measures to prevent anyone from ever accessing them. First, starting the program requires a master password. (For those with less security concerns, it can be remembered and will then be saved encrypted bound to your machine and user account).

The bookmaker logins and passwords are then encrypted on your computer using this password (with a "salt") with another industrial strength encryption (for specifics, you can contact me). The communication between the client and server can also be monitored to see that no sensitive information is ever sent to us.

We will sign our software with a certificate for the next release, this will verify that the software is infact from our company, and that it has not been tampered with since release.

In the end of course, it boils down to if you trust us or not, and I have full understanding this might take a while. I hope you'll give us a chance!

I couldn't agree more with NOYB and I'm sure most here will feel the same. You might want to seriously rethink the idea of having to enter your password. I found the bit on your site which implied that it takes minutes to place a bet without autosurf rather amusing, but anyway, Things to consider.

- I'm never going to give my passwords to anyone on trust. Never. Not Ever. Not under any circumstances. Even if you're a reputable set-up I can't be sure that every employee or subcontracted IT maintenance guy is equally honest. You cannot possibly understand how precious and closely guarded these are to most arbers to even suggest this. To those of us who are not coders it's irrelevant how foreign software actually handles them because we can't tell if it stores them on our own computers or sends them straight to Moscow, so we're never going to risk it.

- The requirement to download is offputting - browser based software is always preferable; not an absolute deal-breaker like the passwords, but nearly - it would certainly put me off.

-If you're aiming at more serious arbers (and if you want clients that will repeat-pay for months and years that's where you need to aim) you're not going to be the only service we use. We also have our own calculation tools. Therefore...

-don't waste valuable time developing calculators etc; we don't need them

-any feature to open bookmakers in wondows/tabs etc is irrelevant - we'll already be running sites open and logged in in order to use other arb services. Once the arb has appeared I can probably get to it faster than the average PC can open a window and establish a connection at least 50% of the time (over 90% actually since it's not going to log in for me with no passwords given).

-arb scanning power both in speed and in market variety and bookmaker variety is crucial. You stand and fall by this. If this is excellent everything else will be forgiven (except the passwords).

-if you have a nice interface it helps - take some trials of other arb services they range from excellent to shite (that's you Sportspunter) in how clearly and sensibly they display information.

Hope this gives you some pointers for further development. I hope you manage to change to a web interface. Don't bother with a software certificate; I'll bet every crappy Gold Coast scam has got one on their site...

Almost word for word of what I was going to say Jon,giving out passwords is just never going to happen for most people and a down loadable interface is not ideal either.
Simon I think some screen shots and more info wouldn't go amiss either to be honest as I'm not sure you are ready to go to market by the look of things,you are much better off launching a business when it's running properly.

Thanks for your input Jon! As I said earlier, there is absolutely no requirement to enter your passwords. If you're not going to use the AutoLogin and AutoSurf features, there is no need either. You can just use the application as a detailed list of arbs, and use your own solutions for betting.

However, you must consider that you probably represent the top percentage of professional arbers, and our tool is also aimed at less experienced users that will find the AutoSurf an invaluable help. No matter your skill, it is pretty cool to place an arb in under 15 seconds Wink

We are actually considering building a web based arb service also. It would of course be a simpler interface, more aimed at the pros with all the information you need.

You're right, speed is extremely important. After we've added the bookies we feel are necessary (we appreciate input on this), we will focus on this area. Our software architecture is built to scale very easily, which means we can add hardware and immediately increase the speed of odds gathering. Our goal is to present updated odds to the client in less than 20 seconds, which I guess would place us among the fastest services out there.

Tribet, screenshots and more info is coming. The web site was launched yesterday, we have much more to do. And you're right, we're not ready for market -- we're in open beta! The whole point is to gather feedback from you guys before we launch, so thanks for your input and I hope you want to try us out.

I probably worded my reply badly what I mean is if people try your software as it is they will probably dismiss it forever as there are not enough books and the interface is not ideal regardless of what you do in the future.
I can add a new book to my software pretty quickly and I think it would be better if you had more books to start with even if you don't have all sports covered.
I would try it out of curiositry but I am not downloading an application I know nothing about.

The open beta was something we considered very carefully. It's a trade-off. On one hand you get early feedback and can easier plan the direction of the software and will probably have a much better and stable product at launch. On the other hand, as you mention there is a risk some people might dismiss it.

We are quite sure that once people try our product they will see the potential even though we have a limited amount of bookies. We will add new bookmakers continuously the coming weeks. And people are already making good money with it right now, which is not bad for free software.

I hope some users will reply here with their experiences!

And a nice layout!

So far I agree with all the posters. The autologin feature is something I will never use myself and I can't see it of any use for most people.

I'd also prefer a web access rather than a program in my PC, mainly because it is easier to use and it uses less PC resources.

I agree 100% with this, no softwere, downloads, passwords, calculators,........all shit. Just find quality arbs, and offer free trial, i am sure people would pay for your service. But here it is another problem, your service will become overcrowded and useless, like 90% of other services are.
