We cannot get them to reply to phone calls etc

We want to know if they are one and the same as the spectre holdings mentioned in your forums. When we looked up the ABN they are registered in South Australia not Queensland but we seem to be having the same problems with them.

Thanks for information re Spectre Holdings Pty Ltd. We had paid for company search on ABN27112908648 ACN 112908648 which did not tell us much except who sole director is, Michael Luke Burrows, with Melbourne address. House appears to be vacant.
Letter in their "prospectus"(green and yellow) from accountant appears to be phoney. We called and spoke to accountant company bearing part of the name given and they had never heard of him.
ASIC ABN registration has them as "not registered for GST".
If nothing else we can send ATO copy of invoice showing GST charged.

Hi Guys,

I registered here just so I could post this reply to this thread.

I was contacted by Blue Point Trading with a view to 'invest' in their scheme. Luckily I am a natural sceptic. I researched them and discovered their Blue Point Trading name was only registered with ASIC in December 2007. A woman who identified herself as "Paula" called me today to follow up on the brochures that were sent out. When I asked how long they had been operating, I was told '9 years'. When I told the woman that according to my searching, they had been going (in their current form) since December 2007, she slickly replied that BY LAW they had to reregister with ASIC every 12 months in order to continue trading. Talk about a load of rubbish.

In the end, despite being told a load of nonsense, the woman offered to fax me through details of their guarantee together with a list of their previous ACNs and ABNs so I could feel confident in the service they provide.
Needless to say, no fax was received.

One thing she also told me was her mobile phone number should I wish to contact her. It is 0416 895 538. Since I know there are people out there who are trying to track these people, I thought I would give it to you all.

Also for everyone's reference, I have available PDF versions of the brochure from Blue Point Trading, as well as their previous dodgy names; Spectre Trading and Spectre Holdings Pty Ltd. You will notice the obvious similarities of the format and wording between all these brochures. I cannot post them here as an attachment as the file size would be too big. I can email them to anyone interested.

Since I am sure these scam-artists also probably scan the internet looking for anything which might compromise their operations, I am certain they will be reading this in due course. To them I would wish their dishonest ways bring them utter misfortune, as I am sure it will. Things have a way of coming back to you.

Good luck guys and stay away from these kinds of scum.

Hay bud, you couldn't be closer to the truth. info for all to be aware of. Spectre Holdings, Spectre Trading, and the latest Blue Point Trading are one in the same. They are using an age old scam called drip feeding. How it works is that they need to get loads of people to continually purchase in order to be able to pay previous divends to past buyers.
The address listed below at the Southport office has since moved to Chevron Island. The new Customer contact number for Blue Point is 1300 760 031. As if you were to call the ones listed on the Spectre brochures they now have a Telstra message saying they are full.

They are currently looking to move in the next week or so. The address is Suite 5A, 47 Ashmore Rd Bundall door opposite the Channel 10 office. I got caught out by these a-holes. They contacted me last year late June and kept at me eventually talking me around. I scoured the web for information about them and these scams but there was not a lot of information until about a month after i "joined".

Of course I sat there and figured i'd give them the benefit of the doubt.

Spectre Trading PTY LTD filed a "Notification of Appointment of Liquidator (Creditor's Voluntary Winding Up)" and "Notification of Resolution Winding Up The Company" on the 6th Feb 2008. They are currently "Under External Administration and/or Contoller Appointed". My wife has wasted most of her day today finding out as much as she can and we are lodging a claim to be paid monies owing with the administration company. Pretty sure the administration is going to find nothing though.

She is currently away making payment at the post office so we can lodge the claim (ASIC Search Form 964: cost $12 for the information) so fingers crossed for me. I am also tempted to chase this through the courts if administration doesnt give us what is owing as I do have a fair amount of money tucked away in savings. I will consult a solicitor soon.

Incidentally for ANYONE reading this that cannot be convinced to not buy into one of these scams.. take this advice on PLEASE!! Use a credit card to pay for it. I paid by direct deposit and I contacted my bank today to try and have the transaction reversed (even though it was 7 months ago i figured it was worth a shot.) CBA told me if I had of used a credit card they would have reversed it, even 7 months after the payment went through, it would have been reversed and I would be able to drop this here and now and walk away with my money in my pocket.

If you cannot be told not to "invest" in these scams, do yourself a favour and pay with a credit card!!
