WTS on the gold coast again. ***SCAM***
« on: Oct 15th, 2007, 2:09pm »

Thanks for the comments, I have already read the links you provided, thank you. This company has been operating since 99, and say they offer a guarantee, I don't want to sound naive by coming back to them, but they have offered me a bunch of info on them, and I was just wondering, how could they have operated for 8 years, and not pop up as a scam, or anybody on a site like this know of them as good or bad? Does anybody know of a group like this that actually does what it says? or are they all scams?
Thanks again
Nathan undecided

I think you have got pretty good answers in the other thread.

It's pretty clear that that is a scam, if you are still not convinced then go ahead but plz don't come back here moaning after you get stuffed!

Never found one yet.
Have they actually been around for 8 years, or do they just say they have? Even if the company was formed 8 years ago, have they actively operated (and had customers) during that 8 years? Need evidence.

(Didn't Jenx say this in the other thread?...) If they can take your money and make so much of a profit on it, why would they need your money? Surely they can start with a little money even, grow it themselves and have far more money from their own work than you could possibly give them, and then they could keep all of their profits rather than worry about paying it out to 'clients'.

Spot on Aegist.

Warynat, just look at Rhodes Penninsular investments. up untill Feb this year they were Rhodes Penninsular Apartments.

So what i'm trying to say is you can buy an old company off the internet or from an accountant and change the name but it is still incorporated from the original date which makes the company look like it has been around for quite awhile.

The reason arbitrage became possible was thanks to the removal of UK betting tax. Do a bit of research and find out when this was.... I can tell you it was less than 8 years ago. They could not possibly have been actively involved in betting arbitrage 8 years ago it wasnt possble.

Well,
I have been back on and off the phone with these people for three days, and can safely say that I will NOT be giving anybody my hard earned $. I wanted to reply to firstly thank people for all of the input, and secondly to mention WTS, and that I do not know if it is a scam or not, but I will not be doing it. I questioned one lady working there on it being a scam, and her answer was "I work here and it's not a scam" what a great quantifier for me giving my money to her.

Their company is legit, they are where they say they are, the ACCC has not heard of them and has no negative history. Thir ASIC papers are legit and they are registered, but for me, frankly, there is too many rotten apples, and I don't think you can really ever be certain until you bite into it.

Thanks for the feedback, and I think I will start off as a hobby and see how I go from there, Gee you can get 7% on cash investemnts and do NOTHING, so if you only earn 10% each month (as one cheeky member said on this site)...what's the point Wink

Any tips on getting started slowly?

I have a friend who had the guts to register and pay the $6600 with WTS and has now easily made back her original investment and more, and withdrawn it, and is continuing to make money.

She paid $6600
Deposited $10,000 (into a Westpac bank account - NOT A BETTING ACCOUNT LIKE ALL SCAMS)
Since she joined only a month ago her accound rose to $25,000
She withdrew $16,600 (in order to cover her 6600 fee and 10,000 deposit)
She is now building the remaining 9000 odd bucks up and making MORE money.
She cannot come out of this behind from this point. She has made back he investment.
She is curretly roughly $11,000 in front.
I have been in for several meetings, including one with the business owner.
It is all legit as far as i can tell. No one has EVER reported WTS Investments as a scam.
They deal with in excess of 70 bookies globally.

I have not personally invested. I am keeping an eye on my friends account.
I will be researching them further. I will keep you guys updated on anything interesting i find.

Until then, take care.

I'll bite and assume you're not a shill (although I'm pretty sure you are).

Please read the many threads about similar Gold Coast vehicles in the Seymour Place, and the standard practice of paying the first round of investors to lure in more suckers.  Ask yourself if they could make these returns why they would want your money in the first place - if the returns you describe were real you could get a 10k bank loan and turn it into $50 million in a year - why would you need anyone else's money?

fair point, all these bankrupt bookmakers are gonna upset a lot of punters and many of us will have to join the job market again. This will cause a sudden discrepency in unemployment figures around the world, causing wild speculation that there is a recession happening. Markets tumble and more bookmakers go bankrupt causing a massive downward spiral into oblivion. Before you know it we'll all be living in caves again with the exception of a few gold coast scam artists who will slowly suffocate under tonnes of worthless cash.

Hi all. I have just joined and try and keep this short, well hopefully.

I hadn't heard of Sports Arbitrage until about 2 weeks ago, a good mate of mine had been looking at it for two months, (the time his brother had been joined, through WTS Investements). He finally made the jump and joined on the 20th of Dec. After paying the join up fee his initial investment was 10K, he now has near 40K in his account, which he plans to start withdrawing small amounts on a weekly basis.

As I mentioned I know nothing about Arbitrage and have been led to believe that returns of 20% per week are quite acheivable.... is this not the case?? It has been explained to me that they, (WTS) have made up to 7 trades in one day, reading previous threads this seems unlikely.

I am considering joining, and have been told the joining fee is increasing to $9,900 as from the 1st of Feb. as well as an ongoing administration fee of 1% per month, meaning to avoid the extra charges I would need to joint by C.O.B tomorrow.

By the way, my mates brother has made in excess of 300K and has withdrawn 100K when his acount reached that amount, to make sure the funds were accessible, before his brother, (my mate), would feel comfortable in joining.

I am probably more cautious then my mate so really need to have as much information as possible before making the decision.

If anyone can give me feedback about any personal dealings with WTS Investments it would be greatly appreciated.

20% per week is impossible with Arbitrage Trading. It is possible with gambling, but any form of gambling is destined to fail over the long run.
